Jetbrawl — a multiplayer jetpack arena in the browser
One simulation module is shared by the server, which is authoritative, and by every browser, which predicts: maps are rectangle primitives rasterised to tiles, and weapons, items and bots live in the same code, so an offline practice mode runs the identical game locally.

Highlights
- Client prediction for your own soldier and 100 ms interpolation for everyone else, over a WebSocket server written against RFC 6455 by hand with no npm packages.
- Six maps (Hangar, Canyon, Skyline, Highlands, Lagoon, Reactor) with parallax skies, a cached tile layer, procedural soldiers and touch sticks on phones.
- Crouching, shields, boost and damage pickups; the snapshot format carries their state, so server and client ship together.
- Runs as a hardened systemd service capped at 512 MB and a fraction of a CPU next to the rest of the portal.
